Kerbside collections

Swansea provides kerbside collections of Glass, cans, paper, cardboard, plastic, food waste and garden waste.

Glass, cans, paper, cardboard and card are in green bags. The collections are made fortnightly on your GREEN WEEK collection.

Plastics are collected in pink bags. The collections are made fortnightly on your PINK WEEK collection.

Kitchen waste is collected weekly from the kerbside in a green bin. The collections are made EVERY WEEK.

Garden waste is collected in a reusable white bag. The collections are made fortnightly on your GREEN WEEK collection

Bring Bank sites
There are 20 bring bank sites in Swansea
collecting a range of materials including paper, glass, cans and textiles. For details of your nearest site visit our bank locator

Civic Amenity sites
There are 5 civic amenity sites in Swansea:

  • Ferry Close, Llansamlet
  • Derwen Fawr Road, Clyne
  • Phoenix Way, Gorseinon
  • Heol Gwyrosydd, Penlan
  • Danygraig Road, St Thomas

Llansamlet and Clyne Civic Amenity Sites are open 7 days a week from 8.30am – 5pm

The sites in Gorseinon, Penlan and St Thomas sites are open 4 days a week on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 8.30am – 5pm


In store battery recycling trial
You can take your old batteries to the following stores for recycling:
