Smart Shopping

Reducing waste starts with rethinking what you buy

Cutting waste doesn’t mean making sacrifices – quite the opposite.

A low waste lifestyle can be less hassle. You could be spending less time shopping, have more cash in your pocket and be leading a slightly simpler life. For the environment, it means less energy and raw materials being used to make new products, which reduces carbon emissions, while keeping valuable materials out of landfill sites.

We spend hours every month shopping for food, clothes and household goods. But do you know the damage your shopping does to the environment? Many of the items that feature on your regular shopping list could have travelled across the globe to reach your trolley.

There are many simple things you can do to become a smart shopper. As well as becoming more environmentally aware you could also save money.
