Food waste collections and Home composting
The best thing that can happen to food is that it makes it to our plates and is enjoyed, however some food waste is inevitable.
Egg shells, banana skins and tea bags are never going to be on the menu.
If you live in an area that has local kerbside food collection service, you can use this to collect anything you can’t eat.
If you do not yet have a food waste collection service you can home compost certain elements of your food waste such as vegetable peelings, fruit cores, teabags and egg shells.
