Schools: Cut down paper, cut down costs
The majority of rubbish in schools is paper. Taking action is easy.
By simply printing and photocopying double-sided it can halve the amount of paper used. If you can’t print double-sided why not use the reverse side of old paper for scrap?
If you decide to cut down the amount of paper you use, always remember to recycle it when it’s finished with.
Contact your Council's Recycling Team for information on how to your school could set up a recycling collection scheme.
Reduce more by:
- Home composting
- Stopping junk mail and deregistering with the Mail Preference Service
- Using real nappies
- Reducing packaging
