Home composting
Space and natural resources are limited so disposing of materials and wasting energy by burying waste in landfill is unsustainable.
In a landfill site the biodegradable matter decomposes anaerobically. Little air is available to support the type of bacteria that can flourish in a home compost bin. Anaerobic decomposition produces methane, a greenhouse gas which if not captured and utilised is damaging to the earths atmosphere and contributes towards GLOBAL WARMING.

Energy from Waste
Methane, when captured, can fuel the production of electricity. Several countries with high recycling rates extract energy from waste – Anaerobic Digestion, Energy from Waste and other waste management technologies are employed alongside recycling services with the aim of implementing an optimal solution to managing peoples waste.
Experts have invested years analysing systems in place across the world to ensure peoples’ waste is managed in the best way (with optimal recycling and composting).
Getting nature to do the work for you!
Materials (and natural resources) could work harder if not thrown away and/or buried after one use… This applies to your packaging, for example, and your biodegradable kitchen and garden waste too. Nature loves to recycle biodegradable matter to get back the nutrients that can nourish your garden, or your neighbours’ gardens or your community areas! The easiest way for you to get your waste working for you is to contact your local council or garden centre, GET A BIN and PUT IT IN!
