Events recycling
If you are organising an event of any size, our Events Recycling Guide aims to help you get people recycling and minimising waste, anywhere!Public events often create a huge amount of waste. Whether it’s a sports game, music festival or street parade, when people come together waste tends to be left in their wake – these materials can be a valuable resource when recycled.

Encouraging recycling activity at events not only preserves natural resources and saves on landfill charges but also can improve your audience’s perception of the event. Recycling in the right way should promote a positive environmental image and present event organisers as responsible and respectful venue users.

The Guide suggests simple and cost effective ways that events organisers can implement recycling. It presents a framework for planning and implementing effective waste management and recycling programs at events and features case studies of events that have successfully embraced recycling.
For help and advice in setting up Events Recycling facilities please contact the Ruth Llewellyn, on 029 2051 9000/ 07817 64865; although the project is no longer funded, Ruth is still able to provide paid for services through Cylch to event organisers.
