Feeding our future: food waste treatment

Wales throws away 410,000 tonnes of food and drink waste a year.  If buried in landfill it creates methane, a potent gas that is 23 times more harmful to the environment than carbon dioxide. 

Councils throughout Wales will be collecting food waste from your doorstep.  We need to use the best technology for treating it:
