Monmouthshire
Monmouthshire County Council offers two kerbside recycling collection schemes as detailed below:-
- The Red Bag and Purple Bag Recycling Scheme collects your tins, jars, foil, cans, aerosols, plastics, paper, card, junk mail, telephone directories and catalogues on a weekly basis.
- The Garden and Food Waste Recycling Scheme collects your garden waste, vegetarian pet waste, large cardboard, shredded paper (ideally placed in the white starch sack), and all food waste on a weekly basis.
The collection schemes offered to you depend on where you live in the county (some rural areas may not be covered yet).

Bring Sites
There is 46 bring bank sites in Monmouthshire, collecting a range of materials to include paper, glass, cans and foil, books, shoes and textiles. For details of your nearest site visit our bank locator.
Household Waste Recycling Centres
There are four Household Waste Recycling Centres in Monmouthshire at:-
- Llanfoist
- Five Lanes
- Mitchel Troy
- Usk
These sites are open 8am to 6pm 7 days a week throughout the year (only closing Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day). For more information please visit the Monmouthshire County Council website.
