Bridgend
Kerbside collections
Offering two black recycling boxes to every householder in the borough collecting paper and glass. Textiles can also be put out in carrier bags on the day of collection. This service is fortnightly on the same day as the refuse collection.
12,000 households also receive a weekly food waste collection and fortnightly plastic bottle collection service. Contact Bridgend council direct for any questions regarding collections and the above services. Tel: 01656 643439

Civic Amenity sites
Bridgend has 4 civic amenity sites:
- Tythegston Household Amenity Site, Nr Porthcawl
- Heol Ty Gwyn Industrial Estate, Maesteg
- Brynmenyn Industrial Estate, Brynmenyn
- Penllwyngwent Industrial Estate, Ogmore Vale
The sites are open
8.30am – 8pm Monday to Friday
8.30am – 6pm Saturdays and Sundays (April to September) 8.30am – 4.30pm (October to March)
Please note Penllwyngwent is only open Friday to Monday between October and March. All sites are closed on 25th & 26th December and 1st January.
