Kerbside collections (Tidy Trev)

Blaenau Gwent runs a weekly recycling kerbside collection service. They collect 5 categories which are: plastic bottles, glass (must be cleaned out), tins and cans (must be cleaned out), textiles and newspapers, magazines and old paper. The scheme is now called 'Tidy Trev'

There are 10 bring bank sites in Blaenau Gwent collecting a range of materials including glass, paper, cans and textiles. For details of your nearest site visit our bank locator

Civic Amenity sites
Blaenau Gwent has 4 civic amenity sites:

  • New Vale, Waun-y-pound Industrial Estate, Ebbw Vale
  • Silent Valley, Beechwood House, Cwm, Ebbw Vale
  • Pithead baths, Llanhilleth (open Saturdays only from 8am -12pm)
  • Bournville, Abertillery Road, Blaina

Material collected at each site varies – please contact Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council for more details. Sites are open

Winter
October 1st to April 30th:  8:30am – 4:30pm 

Summer
May 1st to September 30th: 8:30am – 7pm
