MAKE ONE CHANGE FOR RECYCLE WEEK 2010
18 Jun 2010Consumer campaign Waste Awareness Wales is calling on Welsh householders to mark Recycle Week (21 – 27 June) by making one small change to what they throw away.
Waste Awareness Wales is reminding people that even small changes can make a big impact on
- Don’t just recycle in the kitchen. Remember to separate your waste in every room in the house, including the bathroom.
- If you have a separate food waste collection, use it. If not visit our Home Composting page to find out more about home composting.
- You can recycle all newspapers, so there’s no excuse to put them in the bin.
- Dispose of old electrical products responsibly. Talk to the shop where you bought the item to see if they have a take back policy, or visit Bank Locator to find out about facilities in your area.
- Get used to carrying a reusable bag. Charges for carrier bags will be introduced next spring, so adopt the habit of using a good old shopping bag.
